In fact, Doug has built the personal residence of several active custom home builders in the area as well as many top real estate agents. The company garners a significant amount of repeat and referral business, which speaks volumes about his client relationships, local reputation, and of course, caliber of his work.

Doug got his start in construction while he was still in high school. He worked for a contractor in his hometown of Lewisburg, TN. While attending college at Middle Tennessee State University, he worked as a framer, trim carpenter, and roofer. He was also lucky enough to work with several established custom home builders who were willing to spend time developing new talent. A real estate agent whose home Doug was working on at the time convinced him to get his contractor’s license, so he did and founded his company in the early 80s.

Over the years, Vandiver has maintained a thriving business, despite several periods of economic recession in Tennessee. Doug has actually physically worked in the trades that he oversees, which allows him to immediately detect problems when they arise and find a smarter solution.
